Gengar Best Moveset

Gengar is a deadly Pokemon that has the ability to counter many different types with its move pool. Some of these moves include Shadow Ball and Focus Blast, but do they stack up against other fast attacks? It turns out not really because all of them deal Super Effective damage in raid environments where you’ll likely cap your energy for most or all parts during an encounter so it doesn’t matter much if some are stronger than others overall anyways!

Charge move analysis

Gengar’s most dangerous charged move, Shadow Ball eliminates Mewtwo as a viable counter and deals tons of damage to other Gengar counters. The best Pokemon for dealing with this are Tyranitar and/or Gengar who both have potion friendly options against Focus Blast but not STAB points when using it which is why they’re listed separately here just in case you missed that little detail about focus blast being super powerful!

A Sludge Bomb is a two bar Poison type move which we consider to be an easy Gengar raid move: it doesn’t have much of an effect on top counters and the damage output isn’t high either. The best counters against this type of attack are Mewtwo, Groudon with Earthquake or Espeon’sitem_espeed_. Generally speaking though any pokemon can become vulnerable if hit by one too many sludges from your ghoulish Meganium friend!

Gengar Raid Counters

Gengar is a Tier 3 (or 4 during Gengar day) raid boss in Pokemon GO with 21207 combat power. The best countering strategy for this difficultghostly pokemon are mostly strong Ghost, Psychic and Dark types like Shadow Ball Mewtwo or Bite/Crunch Tyranitar- but it can also take on Ground type moves from Metagross if your team has an adequate number of members! A single player should be able to defeat one without too much difficulty as detailed within our solo guide; however you will need at least 2 people when going against tier 4 versions which we recommend three due their high HP total.
